Julie MEYER nous rappelle que les entrepreneurs sont la force motrice d'un pays et qu'il faut faire en sorte qu'ils puissent pleinement s'exprimer.
Européenne convaincue, elle considère qu'il convient de se focaliser sur les atouts de l'Europe plutôt que sur ses handicaps structurels. L'Europe porte en son sein beaucoup d'entrepreneurs, de talents qu'il convient de laisser s'exprimer. D'ailleurs l'Europe devrait être une véritable plateforme concurrente des USA en matière de création d'entreprises "successful".
Or pourquoi n'est-ce pas le cas ? Pour Julie plusieurs facteurs peuvent expliquer ce retard : - Le premier est qu'en Europe, le pouvoir est concentré dans les mains de politiques empêchant ainsi à l'Entreprenariat de pleinement s'exprimer. A l'image d'une balance, il devrait exister un transfert de pouvoir des politiques vers les créateurs. - Le second aspect est que contrairement aux USA, les entreprises font peu de "destruction créatrice". Cela signifie que les grands groupes n'achètent pas de start-ups. Le monde des grosses entreprises côtoient peu celui des start-ups. Aux Etats-Unis, et Google en est un exemple, c'est un peu l'inverse. Les grosses entreprises achètent, voire parfois incubent simplement, des jeunes pousses dans l'espoir que le pari sera pertinent. - Le troisième est que les Etats-Unis « embrassent le futur » sans avoir peu du lendemain. Les USA proposent un environnement, une émulation, une mentalité plus propice aux entreprises pour se créer et devenir des leaders de demain. Cet aspect est rarement mis en avant lorsque l'on parle de création d'entreprise. On a tendance à se focaliser sur l'argent ou l'aide administrative. Mais je suis convaincu que toute personne se nourrit de l'énergie qui l'entoure et il vaut avouer que les Etats-Unis créent un climat qui semble plus positif. On met en avant les créateurs d'entreprise, on encourage les gens à prendre des risques et on ne les culpabilise pas si l'entreprise n'est pas un succès...toute une mentalité à travailler en France.
A tous ceux qui prétextent que l’argent est la cause du manque d’ambition créatrice, Julie répond que l’argent suit les idées. Si vous êtes bons, les capitaux vous trouveront. J'émets tout de même quelques réserves sur "seules les idées suffisent" surtout dans un climat économique difficile où les investisseurs ont tendance à miser sur des entreprises qui sont plus en phase de développement que de création.
Pour réussir un projet, il faut faire ce pour quoi on est bon, savoir s’entourer des bonnes compétences (et c'est loin d'être simple) et d’être convaincu par le projet. Il faut avoir une vision. Le Facteur Clef de Succès des jeunes entreprises est de réussir à réunir une équipe aux compétences complémentaires. Réussir seul est quasi impossible mais réussir mal accompagné est impossible.
Julie en profite pour indiquer que la crise est justement une opportunité pour tous les créateurs...Aussi, ami(e) crétateur/trice, rejoignez-nous dans cette aventure existante qu'est l'entrepreneuriat !!
Pour résumer la pensée de July, 6 mots : « Think big. Start small. Move fast ». J'aime beaucoup cette formule qui résume bien l'état d'esprit dans lequel un entrepreneur doit être. Et vous, qu'en pensez-vous ?
